Don‘t just go for ANY TREATMENT... Go for the BEST TREATMENT

Hemiplegia refers to paralysis of one side of the body — affecting the arm, leg, and sometimes the face — usually caused by damage to the brain or spinal cord. The most common cause is a stroke (cerebrovascular accident), where blood flow to part of the brain is interrupted, leading to weakness or loss of muscle control on the opposite side of the body. Other causes include head injury, brain tumours, or infections. Homeopathy plays an important supportive role in recovery, helping improve muscle tone, coordination, and nerve function, especially during rehabilitation.

Causes

Hemiplegia develops when the brain’s motor centres that control movement are affected.

Common causes include:

  • Stroke (ischemic or hemorrhagic) — the most common cause
  • Head or spinal cord injury
  • Brain infections like meningitis or encephalitis
  • Brain tumours or abscesses
  • Cerebral palsy (in children)
  • Multiple sclerosis or degenerative diseases
  • Post-seizure weakness (Todd’s paralysis)

  • Manage blood pressure, diabetes, and cholesterol to prevent recurrent strokes.
  • Avoid smoking and alcohol.
  • Ensure a safe environment to prevent falls.
  • Encourage mental stimulation and speech exercises if needed.
